Looking to the future and the Drivers of Change

A significant part of what we do at Engine Service Design is to be aware of future trends and movements. Likely developments and behaviours help us to anticipate challenges that our clients may face and it’s important for us to explore them.

With that in mind, Engine hosted an event aimed at uncovering some of the critical drivers for change that are shaping both service-centric and product organisations.

Engine commissioned Lucy Kimbell, of the Young Foundation and Associate Fellow at Said Business School, University of Oxford, to research and write a report: Drivers of Change for organisations around service over the next 3-5 years.

The event brought together smart thinkers from private industry and the public sector, academics, practitioners and thought leaders, and together we developed the Drivers further and used scenario-planning to imagine possible futures. Details generated around the Drivers were inspired by the range of industry sectors in the room and served to inform the report.

We bring this to you now and really hope you will share some of your thoughts with us around the drivers we’ve identified and how this has, or could, affect your organisation.
