Engine is a very proud and long-standing member of the Design Business Association (DBA).
As the design industry's trade association, representing over 400 design businesses, the DBA works to champion the transformational power of design, promoting its strategic and economic value to industries, corporations and government organisations.
On 12th October, Oliver King and a team of Engine's service design consultants facilitated a day-long event called 'Design: driving transformation in business' involving a host of design industry leaders brought together to explore and debate how to embed design across every business function within an organisation to harness its transformative power.

The role that design leaders have to play in business
The business context and business culture that needs to exist for design to flourish
Participants heard from Deborah Dawton, Chief Executive of DBA; Mark van Iterson, Director Global Heineken Design at Heineken International; Jon Denham, VP Disruptive Innovation and Design for ConAgra Foods; Luke Mansfield, VP Innovation at PepsiCo Global Beverage Group and Francois Lenfant, General Manager Healthcare Experience Global Design at GE Healthcare to name a few.
