Design education

Design education in universities continues to change as connections are made with business schools and social science departments. This change is important to Engine and we hope to continue to support it through our relationships with academic institutions and enterprise organisations.

We’re also seeing a growing number of professional positions in both public-sector and commercial organisations where an understanding of service design methodologies would bring great value to the ways in which these organisations innovate and engage with customers. This is a great opportunity for Design but there is more to do to ensure that the supply of ‘big picture’, multidisciplinary designers matches the needs of the market.
