Growing the Gateway
Through its Gateway, Kent County Council is demonstrating the value of a new approach to multi agency public service delivery under one roof. Offering a wide range of joined up services at one central high street location is proving valuable for both customers and staff. The Gateway team is looking to build on their current successes and grow their ability to meet the needs of their users as they grow their network of locations.
In partnership with Social Innovation Lab for Kent, Engine is working with a diverse team of staff, drawn from both Gateway locations, to improve their ability to understand the unique needs of their users and to empower them to respond as an organization through improvements and new services.
The project aims to define a user centred approach, in collaboration with Gateway, that is appropriate in a day to day context and effective at a strategic level to effectively align the centres’ service offerings. It will also help to inform the development of Gateway’s professional culture and offer as it moves forward in the development of several new Gateway centres over the next couple of years.
