Portuguese airport Group

ANA, Portugal’s state owned airport group commissioned Engine at the end of 2008 to help them plan for a shift in their business towards services. The air industry is reconfiguring itself in response to the impact on the industry of trends in consumer behaviour, fluctuating oil prices, and the economic downturn.

Like others across the industry, ANA, is looking to service and services as a way to grow and sustain traffic and create new sources of revenue. We’ve completed stage one with the delivery of an initial passenger services strategy for the Group developed through a programme of research and co-creation with passengers and airport teams in Portugal.

The document presented to the Group’s Board at the end of March makes proposals for the development of their organisation, their capabily to develop and manage passenger services and for specific services as part of a development programme. Having been reviewed and endorsed by the Board, this transformational programme inspired and informed by passengers and staff is moving into planning and we’re proud to be involved.
