On 13th May, Engine hosted 27e Region, a ‘Laboratory of new public politics from France. 27e Region were especially keen to understand the potential impact that a service design approach can make in policy development and social innovation, which we demonstrated by sharing Engine’s Our New Schools project with Walker School of Technology and our ongoing work with the Social Innovation Lab for Kent. In addition we talked about what weve learned through our experiences of placing the citizen at the centre of the design process on the Rise Project with Southwark council, which is looking at childhood obesity and the life chances of families in that borough.
