Mathias Gullbrandson - Associate

As an Associate Service Designer at Engine and co-founder of The Story Lab in Stockholm, Mathias focuses on designing organisational behaviours and services that engage people in a way to strengthens authentic brand stories.

In practical terms, Mathias guides clients through a process of qualitative research to detect the mechanisms behind a customer experience, and how to formulate strategies to improve and innovate the experience making it a story worth telling. Mathias is passionate about how story and game theory affect social lives and interactions on markets, and how that can be used to enhance differentiating customer experiences.

Mathias has a background in communications, storytelling, game design and service strategy. He has 15 years industry experience from service design and business innovation, to management consultancy, film and game production and PR consultancy. His work includes projects for clients such as Volvo, Vodafone and Linde Group.
